Description
Chenin Blanc is only grown in a few places: Loire Valley of France, South Africa, and Clarksburg, California. A fruity scented nose of green apple and bright grapefruit gives way to delightfully refreshing notes of ripe pear, ginger, and honeycomb on the palate. Pairs especially well with scallops, prawns, oysters, grilled lobster, and cracked crab. Also, great with Roast Pork Belly, mild fruity curries, and dishes with ginger, saffron, and lemongrass. On the vegetarian side try it with sweet root vegetables and butternut squash soup, and spinach salad with pears. Charcuterie: goat cheese, Brie, and Caerphilly. Excellent with apple pie. This unoaked refreshing style of Chenin Blanc is a food pairing wonder!
