Description
Frane is representing 4 countries with his Quattro Euro: Germany with 32% Dornfelder from Lodi’s Mokelmne Glen, Spain with 32% Tempranillo from Bart’s Shenandoah vineyard, Italy with 18% Montepulciano from Elso’s Russian River Valley vineyard, and France ties it all together with the Javier vineyards’ 18% Chalk Hill Cabernet Sauvignon. A bouquet of sweet red fruit and moist tobacco dominates the nose leading to ripe boysenberries, black plums, and a violet, cedar character at first sip. Intense black fruit layered luxuriously in mixed earth notes mingle playfully on this full-bodied personality. An aftertaste of black tea and Mayan chocolate linger on the finish. Pair with Moroccan Skirt Steak, Hungarian Goulash, mild Indian curries, and macaroni and cheese. Aging: 5-15 years
