Description
This house Rhone blend is a culmination of the best of San Francisco Bay. Chateau la Sunce is comprised of 44% Old Vine Carignane from Sandy Lane, 32% Petite Sirah from Salcido Vineyards, and 24% Old Vines Mourvèdre, also from Sandy Lane. Flavors abound of wild berries, coffee beans, cardamom-laced chocolate, beef jerky, and mulling spices. Balancing a moderate acidity are firm tannins and a generous, round texture ending with a long, spicy finish. This sipper can be paired with a high-end cigar, a rich venison stew by campfire, a tofu stir-fry on a sailboat striding on its side, or with any nostalgia-inducing trifle of a circumstance.
