Description
These Viognier grapes were sustainably farmed in the picturesque Dry Creek Valley on the historic Tzabaco Rancho Vineyard, which has been family-operated since 1856. This example is a beautiful Viognier boasting a complex nose of lilies and orange blossoms. On the palate, this pleaser offers stone fruit essences of nectarine and apricot, along with spiced notes of white pepper, anise seed, and clove. A full-bodied white Rhone textured with outstanding balance and weight in the mouth, giving way to a long, memorable finish. Pair with seared scallops in a butter sauce, grilled lobster, and cracked crab. Also, great with mild curries, Pad Thai, and dishes with ginger, saffron, and coconut. On the vegetarian side, try it with sweet root vegetables and butternut squash soup. This crisp Viognier is a food-pairing wonder!
